À propos du poste
As a Montessori educator, you will work under the supervision of the Director and collaborate closely with our French-speaking Montessori educator to support a class of 25 to 27 children aged 6 to 12.
Your role:
For the Child
- Provide linguistic and cultural immersion in English throughout the day for children, parents, and staff.
- Ensure each child reaches the A2 level in English (oral and written comprehension and expression) by following our structured curriculum of presentations and activities.
- Support each child’s physical, emotional, and social development with care and attention to their individual needs.
- Track and plan each child’s progress using observation and appropriate assessments.
- Deliver engaging, child-centered Montessori lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
Preparing the Environment
- Create and maintain a harmonious, organized, and inspiring learning environment.
- Ensure the classroom remains clean and orderly to support concentration and children’s overall growth.
For the Team
- Collaborate respectfully with your French-speaking colleague to improve the learning environment.
- Share observations and make joint decisions to enhance the classroom and teaching practices.
For the Parents
- Build strong relationships with parents by maintaining regular, clear communication.
- Discuss each child’s progress and growth during scheduled parent meetings.
Profil recherché
Training and Experience
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Degree and experience :
- in teaching English as a second language
- and/or A Montessori diploma / primary teaching qualification
- Ability to manage and engage a group of children effectively, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.
Your qualities and skills are
- strong listening skills, availability, and humility.
- Rigor, autonomy, adaptability, and keen observation skills.
- Proactive mindset, and ability to work effectively in a team.
Type of contract : CDD 2 months (possibility of CDI)
Working hours : Full-time on school days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, excluding Zone C school holidays) from 8 AM to 5 PM. No after-school activities. Team meetings held on Wednesday mornings.
